PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

 

The tubular belt conveyor is an exceptional conveying system distinguished by its cylindrical design for transporting bulk materials. Unlike conventional flat conveyor belts with rollers or idlers at the base, tubular belt conveyors are characterized by their enclosed tube shape which effectively contains the material being transported. This inventive design efficiently prevents spillage and dust emissions, making it especially well-suited for handling dusty or abrasive materials. Moreover, the tubular belt conveyor is widely recognized for its ability to transport materials over extended distances and around sharp curves, making it a versatile and efficient choice for various industries.

 

WHERE IS IT USED

Industries: It is widely applicable in thermal power plants, building materials, chemical industries, metallurgy, mining, coal industry, ports, grain handling and other sectors. 
Materials: The materials include coal, coke, coal ash, metal ores (gold, silver, copper, iron, lead and zinc), ore powder, sintered ores,non-metallic ores (marble, basalt, limestone ,granite, potash, trona, salt phosphate etc.), alternative fuels, slag,gravel aggregates, fertilizers and grains(such as soybeans, corn, wheat)etc. 
Methods: The pipe belt conveyor can be divided into unidirectional and bidirectional conveyors. Unidirectional material transportation can be further subdivided into one-way pipe forming and two-way pipe forming.

 

PRODUCT DESIGN

The tubular belt conveyor is a newly developed type of conveyor used for material transportation. Its structure includes the head, tail, receiving point, unloading point, tension device and other components which are essentially the same as those of an ordinary belt conveyor. The tubular belt conveyor consists of a driving device and drum, a tail frame, spiral tensioning device, reversing drum, transition frame, conveyor belt, support system, hexagonal idler set, horizontal belt turning device and intermediate frame. In the transition section at the end of the conveyor belt where materials are received, it gradually forms into a round tube to seal and transport materials before expanding back to its original shape in the head transition section for unloading.

THE CONVEYOR BELT HAS THE FOLLOWING DESIGN

1Tubular Belt: This is the main part of the conveyor and forms a closed loop. It is made of a flexible rubber or plastic material that is strong and durable. 

2Drive Unit: The drive unit is responsible for providing power to the tubular belt. It typically consists of an electric motor, gearbox, and other mechanical components.

3Idlers: Idlers are support rollers that are placed along the tubular belt to provide support and reduce friction.

4Tensioning System: The tensioning system is used to maintain the appropriate tension in the tubular belt. It ensures that the belt remains tight and properly aligned, preventing any material spillage or belt damage.

5Loading and Discharge Points: These are the areas where materials are loaded onto and discharged from the tubular belt conveyor. Loading points may include hoppers, chutes, or other devices that facilitate the transfer of materials onto the conveyor. Discharge points can be similar devices or simply an opening where the materials are released.

6Support Structure: The support structure provides stability and strength to the tubular belt conveyor. It is typically made of steel or other sturdy materials and is designed to withstand the weight of the materials being transported.
