A bend pulley is a type of conveyor pulley used to redirect the conveyor belt as it passes around a bend or curve in the conveyor system. The structure of a conveyor bend pulley typically consists of a cylindrical shell, end disks, shaft, bearings, and locking elements. Bend pulleys are typically installed at the locations where the conveyor belt changes direction, such as at the head or tail of a conveyor curve. It can be used in many industries such as: aggregate & sand production, mining & mineral processing, food processing, warehousing, manufacturing.

Bend pulley for belt conveyor are strategically placed at locations where the conveyor belt changes direction. The primary function of a bend pulley is to redirect the conveyor belt around a bend or curve. It helps maintain proper belt alignment and prevents the belt from running off the pulley. It can be used in many industries such as:

aggregate & sand production, mining & mineral processing, food processing, warehousing, manufacturing, logistics applications.

 

PRODUCT DESIGN

Bend pulleys are designed with a convex shape to match the curvature of the conveyor belt as it travels around the bend. This design minimizes the risk of belt misalignment and reduces stress on the belt. Bend pulleys are strategically placed to guide the conveyor belt smoothly around bends. The number of bend pulleys and their locations depend on the specific conveyor system design and the radius of the bend. Like other conveyor pulleys, a bend pulley may be equipped with lagging material on its surface to enhance traction between the pulley and the belt. Common lagging materials include rubber or ceramic.


 

THE CONVEYOR BELT HAS THE FOLLOWING DESIGN

1 The cylindrical shell is the main body of the pulley and is usually made of steel.
2 The end disks are attached to the ends of the shell and are also made of steel.
3 Shaft: Cold drawn steel. Raw steel rod grinders process shafts with diameters up to 20, 25, 30, 40 (ISO h6 or g6 tolerances apply to seal parts or entire shafts).
4 Bearings: Deep groove precision ball bearings, DIN 62 and 63 series, 6204, 6205, 6305, 6206, 6306, 6308, C3 or C4 clearance.
5 The locking elements are used to secure the pulley to the conveyor system and prevent it from moving or slipping. The structure of the conveyor bend pulley is designed to withstand the stresses and strains of the conveyor system and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the conveyor.
